Finding My Love for Teaching
Back in 2015, I stumbled across some gorgeous wire-wrapped jewelry on Instagram and thought, "Why not give it a shot?" armed with old copper wire and a quartz crystal, I decided to rekindle my childhood love for jewelry making, spending the following weekend lost in creativity. I also dabbled with some clay, creating flowy nature - inspired pendants.
Before I knew it, Cosmically Connected was born! I was quickly inspired by "heady", more intricate designs - I indulged in my rebirthed love for crystals, began traveling to gem shows, growing my crystal collection and spending most of my free time creating.
Cosmically Connected eventually grew past jewelry, and in 2020, I began crocheting funky garments, accessories and home decor to sell - mainly focusing on garments (click to view my favourites year-by-year!)
My proudest crochet moment: Creating a custom crocheted granny square "Snuggie" to be featured on an Amazon Prime TV Show! (Photos coming soon)
Working at a gallery and youth center, I was able to expand my knowledge and teaching skills, hosting events and teaching a variety of classes. Then in December of 2022, I began teaching my own classes! I introduced my beginner-friendly ring and pendant jewelry making classes downtown North Bay at Gateway to The Arts.
Then, in June of 2023 I began teaching kids workshops - macrame rock pouch, wire wrapped ring and pendant workshops amongst others. Since December 2022, I've taught at a handful of venues in North Bay, Callander and South River!
Then in September of 2023, I released my DIY Pendant Kits. This was so exciting for me, being able to teach people near and far with their new found hobby!

As of January 2024, I'm continuing to expand, learn and grow with my business. I'm very excited to see what the future holds!
